Family Therapy

Neurodiversity-Informed Family Support
Parenting a neurodivergent child or teen comes with unique joys and distinct challenges. We provide therapy and consultation for families navigating autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, emotional regulation struggles, or other neurodevelopmental profiles. Our approach is neurodiversity-affirming and grounded in the belief that the child isn’t the problem—the system around them often needs support, structure, and understanding. Together, we work to: -Reduce daily friction and meltdowns by building co-regulation skills -Strengthen family communication and connection Identify patterns that increase stress or disconnection -Tailor structure, routines, and parenting strategies to meet your child’s needs without burning out the adults in the home We also support parents in processing their own emotional responses and identity shifts, particularly when parenting experiences don't match neurotypical expectations or norms. Because every family is different, we welcome whatever else may arise along the way.

Co-Parenting & Blended Family Dynamics
Co-parenting after separation or divorce — and adjusting to new roles in blended families —can bring up emotional, logistical, and relational complexities that deeply impact children. We provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space for parents, stepparents, and caregivers to navigate these transitions with clarity and intention. Our work focuses on: -Reducing conflict and emotional triangulation between adults -Strengthening parenting alignment across households -Supporting children through transitions without placing them in the middle -Addressing loyalty binds, role confusion, and identity struggles for stepparents -Rebuilding communication patterns grounded in respect, boundaries, and child-centered decision-making Whether you’re just starting the co-parenting process or years into a blended dynamic that still feels unstable, we help families work toward healthier, more cooperative relationships. We also know these systems are complex, and we're here to support whatever else comes up in the process.

Parent – Child Conflict & Connection
Childhood and adolescence are a time of profound change — for both kids and their parents. We help families navigate this season with greater understanding, empathy, and emotional clarity. Whether you’re stuck in constant power struggles, long silences, or emotional disconnection, our approach is grounded in attachment theory and family systems work. Together, we work to: -Rebuild trust after rupture or distance -Address unresolved pain that’s fueling conflict -Help both parents and teens articulate needs and boundaries -Restore emotional safety so that communication can actually work -Equip caregivers with tools to stay connected without overstepping This work helps shift the dynamic from power struggles to relationship repair, building a foundation that supports healthy independence while maintaining connection. We hold space for anything else that surfaces along the way. Nothing is too small, too messy, or too complicated.

Cultural & Intergenerational Family Conflict
Many immigrant, first-generation, and multicultural families experience relational strain that goes beyond typical family tension. Differences in cultural identity, language fluency, expectations, or emotional expression can create deep misunderstandings and emotional distance between parents and children. These experiences are often invisible to outsiders—and hard to name within the family itself. In this work, we hold space for: -The grief and pressure of cultural loss, assimilation, or resistance -Navigating respect, autonomy, and identity across generations -Processing unspoken family rules and roles shaped by survival -Healing from intergenerational trauma without erasing cultural strength Whether you're a teen or adult child navigating bicultural identity, or a parent trying to preserve cultural values while adjusting to a new context, we support families in having the hard conversations that lead to repair - not erasure. We understand that culture and family are never one-size-fits-all, and we welcome whatever else may need to be seen or spoken.
